The zinc oxide production was resumed on Chelyabinsk chemical plant ?Oxide? at the end of 2007. Zinc oxide is an important primary component in the tire, general mechanical rubber, paint, oil-refining, cable industries and also in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, leatherette, glass, and ceramic goods. Output capacity of ZINCO “Oxide” meets half of the requirement quantity of the zinc oxide market of Russia and CIS countries.
Zinc oxide shop was put into operation at the industrial site of the Chelyabinsk paint plant in 1944. The plant was built based on the evacuee Yaroslavl paint plant and in its turn was put into operation in 1942.
